We accept orders over the phone or by email.
We offer a 30-day credit facility for educational and government departments as well as recognised building contractors, construction companies and facilities management companies.
Payments can also be accepted over the phone. Alternatively, we can send a Proforma Invoice for payment via BACS or cheque.
Acrylic mirrors are shatter resistant and are approximately 10 x stronger than glass.
Polycarbonate mirrors are virtually unbreakable and are approximately 200 x stronger than glass.
Stainless steel mirrors are virtually unbreakable and are also hygienic.
We advise that acrylic and polycarbonate mirrors should be cleaned using a “pledge” type cleaner and a soft, lint free cloth.
Stainless steel mirrors should be cleaned using a mild soap detergent and a lint free cloth.
We offer various fixings including:
- Chrome-plated dome head screws
- Stainless steel anti-tamper screws.
- Very high bond (VHB) double sided tape.
- Mirror adhesive
Glass mirrors can also be fixed using the following: –
- Aluminium mirror trim (top and bottom)
- Verity clips
- Concealed Safemax® fixings (these are not suitable for safety backed mirrors)
Before installing the mirrors, please ensure that the substrate is completely flat.
Polycarbonate mirrors should be used if there is any possibility of self-harm or harm to others.
Polycarbonate is a relatively soft material and therefore cannot be honed into a sharp edge.
Acrylic and polycarbonate mirrors have a weight of approximately 3.2kg/m2 at 3mm thick and 6.4kg/m2 at 6mm thick.
Stainless steel mirrors have a mass of 8kg/m2 at 0.9mm thick.
Glass mirrors have a mass of approximately 10kg/m2 at 4mm thick and 15kg/m2 at 6mm thick.
Safety backed glass mirrors should be installed using a mechanical fixing. Use of mirror adhesive, or any other form of adhesive based concealed fixing is not recommended.
